Make mine a macaron ♥

Macarons are one of my absolute favourite things to bake and make...although the journey to perfecting our recipes haven't always been a doddle. Macarons are notoriously tricky to bake and flavoured ones even more so. But the great many test bakes and hard work are so worthwhile when I see the glee on faces of people whom have tried them. After various experiments, I've chosen the less conventional path of using the Italian meringue method. And whilst some say it is unnecessary, I firmly believe in flavouring macaron shells for an added depth of flavour. What's your say on the matter?

Loving the effect natural light streaming through our kitchen window had on this ruffled buttercream cake, creating a pretty pastel ombre effect.

Hello and welcome to my blog!
When we first started working on this website, my husband being the IT genius took care of finding us the right software and then the right server to host it on. My job was to design and tinker with the design until it looked right...or drove us crazy, whichever came first. Being a huge fan of creative sites, I wanted to add a page where we could upload photos of projects we worked on, ideas we would love to work on, as well as doodles from my sketchbooks.
I’ll leave you with this doodle of a dessert table inspired by this spring’s Pantone colours, and hope you’ll be inspired too!
